MaryAnn has been sewing for over thirty years and quilting since 1993. The necessity of sewing her children’s clothes soon turned into a love for the craft. She founded Making Quilts in 2006 with her sister Cathy Hallmark. Over the course of a decade, the two sisters spent numerous hours perfecting their vision of the needlework art with a strong emphasis in sewing, piecing, quilting, embroidery, and appliqué. With sixty years of combined sewing experience and thirty-three years of combined quilting experience, the two sisters are eager to help clients with any quilting, needlework, or longarm project they can think of.
If you have any questions for MaryAnn or Cathy about sewing, piecing, appliqué, embroidery, or custom quilt design please contact us.
What makes a good quilt? One that is custom and crafted to fit your needs. We believe our product’s design and personalization are enhanced by keeping every step handmade, from the fabric choice and layout, down to the piecing and binding. We would love to hear about your project and help you to get started in creating a handmade quilt.
Making Quilts specializes in various custom handmade quilts, including traditional, modern, memory, wholecloth, ribbon, and baby. We have also gone the non-traditional route for customers and quilted wall hangings, table sets, and totes. And we won’t stop there. We would love to help you develop your own personalized piece.
Quilting, embroidery, applique, and sewing are just a few aspects of the art of needlework. We not only create custom quilts, but custom totes, wall hangings, bedroom sets and table sets. Since the needlework craft knows very little bounds. We try to follow suit. Please contact us with any questions you have or get an estimate on your current idea or project.
